2018 Bright Futures
All graduating high school, vocational school, and college Gladney Babies are invited to participate in Gladney’s 2018 Bright Futures publication. We are proud of you!
Submission Details
- Deadline: Thursday, March 15, 2018
- Turn in your submission online at iamgladney.org/brightfutures, as early as January 15, 2018. The online form is easy to navigate and includes additional helpful tips.
- Once all submissions are forwarded to the production company, we cannot accept late entries.
- Have a question? Email brightfutures2018@gladney.org.
The online submission process will take approximately 1-2 hours for you to complete. Please sit down with your graduate to complete it together, as there will be questions for both of you to answer. You will not be able to save the form, so you must complete your submission in one sitting.
You will be asked for the following:
Current Photo
- One clear, high resolution, large digital photo taken by a professional photographer or with a professional camera (example: yearbook photo). Photo must be an individual photo – only the senior should be pictured.
Photo from First Year with Family
- Although it is not mandatory, we would love to include one photo from each Gladney Baby’s placement day, adoption finalization day, or other special memory from your first year as a family. If you do not have a digital photo available, a scanned 4 x 6 (or larger) photo will work.
Biographical Sketch
- Parent’s/Parents’ perspective on the first time you saw your child, what placement day was like, and how you felt.
- Gladney Baby’s perspective on what you have learned or how you have grown from having Gladney and adoption as part of your story, what your life is like now, and/or what is next in your story.
- Gladney Baby’s accomplishments and future plans.
- For each of the three sections above, the total word count should be 50-100 words in sentence form. The online form will also ask for some additional information about each Gladney Baby, in order to provide a summary of statistics about the graduating class in the publication. For example, sports they play, states where they live, careers they’re interested in, etc.
Publication Details
- Mailing Date: June 2018
- The publication will be mailed to the featured graduates, posted on Gladney’s website and social media accounts, shared with the Gladney Community by email, and shared with Gladney Friends. For confidentiality purposes, only graduates’ first names will be listed with their photos, not last names.
