TRAUMA-INFORMED CLASSROOM
Presented by: Gladney Unviersity
Please join Gladney University as we welcome Norma K. Eaves, LMSW who will be presenting the training Trauma-Informed Classrooms. Research has documented that exposure to trauma has a profound impact on brain development, brain chemistry, and brain activity. Victims of child abuse and neglect, including exposure to domestic violence, are particularly impacted by the trauma they have experienced, placing them at risk for failure in the classroom. Participants will develop an understanding of the effects of trauma and how adopting research-based methods to apply in the classroom increases a child's chance of success in school and life.
