SOCIAL BULLYING

Casey Harrelson will be presenting a training on Social Bullying during which participants will be able to breakdown the word bully and better define the different power and control tactics students use. Participants will also look at how peer pressures can influence pre-teen and teen culture and how as adults we can better help navigate students to healthy relationships.
ABOUT THE SPEAKERS
Casey Harrelson has nine years of experience in the domestic violence field, currently serving as the Program Coordinator for a local Student Assistance Program. She works to connect, engage, and educate a nearby community to end bullying, dating violence, and domestic violence. She presents these topics to students, parents, and staff within the school setting as well as professional conferences. Casey has recently co-presented at the Texas School Based Law Enforcement Conference as well as the School Based Social Workers Conference. Casey holds a bachelor’s degree in Family Studies from Lubbock Christian University. Her previous work experience includes working for Girls Inc. of Tarrant County as the Program director for their pregnant and parenting outreach.
